2009-2012: In brief, the objectives of the European Project: MARE NOSTRUM & the role of House of Europe.
The goal of the Mare Nostrum Program is to help promote and raise awareness of the value of cultural heritage of city-ports of the Mediterranean. The program will strengthen the residents and especially young people’s interest and pride in their cultural identity, in order to take ownership of their own cultural heritage.
THE ROLE AND THE INVOLVEMENT IN THE MARE NOSTRUM PROJECT
The “House of Europe in Rhodes” participated:
1) in the research of the situation in cities-ports.
2) at the design of the campaign awareness of society about what is and what are the benefits of the program.
3) in data collection (written sources) to enrich the web.
4) participated in preparing the report of Handicrafts.
5) in educational activities.
6) in organizing international biddings for young people and students.
7) in spreading the results of the Mare Nostrum Program through the network.
