The House of Europe in Rhodes

The House of Europe in Rhodes received a great honor for its more than twelve years of work. After a proposal by the related Directorate of the Hellenic Parliament, the “3rd Standing Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean”, has unamimously decided to award to the House of Europe in Rhodes the “PAM Award 2012”, for its “commitment to dialogue and integration and the support to youth development in line with PAM’s vision and activities for the region”.

The original idea for the proposal belongs to the present Member of the Hellenic Parlament and Assistant Professor at the University of the Aegean, Mr. Manos Konsolas, who has been following the activities of the House of Europe in Rhodes since 2001 and has reported on the activities of the House to the Directorate.

The presentaction ceremony was held on 13 October 2012 on the occasion of the 7th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, hosted in Malta. The founding and current President of the Board, Ms Marilena Sokianou, and the former President and current Secretary of the Board, Ms Anna Charitou have attend the ceremony and received the “PAM Award 2012” during a special ceremony.
