The young Swiss pupils (from Lugano-Switzerland), interested in learning the Ancient Greek language, in their country, have visited Rhodes between 31/03 and 06/04/2013 as prize for their progress, offered to them by Dr Platis, a psychiatrist who has lived and worked for many years in Switzerland.
The House of Europe in Rhodes, serving one of its main goals which is to make the acquaintance of people from other countries and namely young people, has invited them and their escorts in its premises, in the Medieval City of Rhodes, on Friday 05 April, at 11.00h. in order to offer to them soft drinks and some traditional greek snacks.
Present at this meeting were the president of the House Mrs. Marilena Sokianou, the secretary Mrs. Anna Charitou and the member of the board Mrs. Maria Nissyriou. The young guests have discussed about the history of Rhodes and asked questions about the Colossus. The president has made a short presentation of the youth conference Rhodes MRC 2013 the House organizes for the 4th consequent year next October.
The meeting was concluded with a short piano recital played by one of the pupils (a Bethoven sonata) and a more modern Gerswin piece played by Mrs Annita Sauer, one of the escorting professors.
