The House of Europe in Rhodes celebrates the Days of Europe (May 5 and 9) and its 15 years of its foundation with a series of five unique events!
On May 6, 2015 at 18:00 at the Rhodes Scholarship Foundation, Thomas Heckeberg, Director of the European Network for Education and Training (EUNET), will be the keynote speaker in a three-hour intensive Master Class Seminar on “Designing and Implementing EU Programs”.
The seminar will cover topics such as:
– Basic principles for planning a program in the EU
– The different ways and sources of EU funding
– Differences between centralized and decentralized actions and their consequences
– Why applications are rejected
– Financial management in programs with international partners
In addition to the presentations, there will be time for questions and further specialization of topics.
The seminar is addressed to members, executives and administrations of clubs, (ΜΚΟ), bodies, schools, (ΑΜΚΕ), (ΚοινΣΕπ), informal groups wishing to join European programs for educational, academic, cultural activities, strengthening of their activities and so on, such as international exchanges, youth actions, lifelong learning implementations.
The language of the seminar is English and there will be no translation.
Entry fee: 10.00€ per person.

Thomas Heckeberg has been active in European political education for young people and adults for more than 20 years. He started as a director of studies and management at the European Academy of Bavaria in 1995. In 2001 he was appointed Head of Educational Programs at the European Academy in Otzenhausen and in 2004 Deputy Director of the European Academy of North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 2004, initially as a volunteer and since 2007 as a full-time employee, he has served as Director of the European Network for Education and Training – EUNET.
As a representative of EUNET he belongs to a variety of official and non-formations of non-governmental organizations at European level. From 2009 to 2012, he co-chaired a European Commission working group representing the interests of 70 civil society organizations in the negotiations on the new EU Financial Regulations.
